We provide the ability to monitor multiple types of services such as DNS, HTTP, SMTP, and other IP-based services. We also offer more advanced monitoring, including OCSP functionality, SSL/TLS certificate validation, domain expiration checks, and mail send/receive capability (Mail-RoundTrip).

In case of failures, you can receive alerts via SMS, PUSH, email, Slack, MS Teams, Signal, and more. Periodic Service Level reports are delivered to your email in PDF format.

Monitoring and analysis

Monitoring is carried out from various connections and cities in Poland and abroad, including Starlink links. Each analysis is performed simultaneously from multiple locations to determine whether the issue is limited to a single provider or only to your server/service.

You can define maintenance windows and schedule on-call duty, set up advanced escalation scenarios for detected incidents, and assign them to the right people based on multiple conditions. All of this can be managed directly in the web panel, in our mobile app (iOS/Android), or automated through our API based on the OpenAPI standard. You can also leverage numerous integrations with external tools such as Terraform.

Select locations with operators and in cities where you need monitoring, and check how your services are visible and accessible from the outside. Each check is performed from all selected locations.

Minimizing false positives

You decide on the system’s sensitivity by defining how many locations must confirm an error before it is recognized as a failure in your infrastructure. This reduces false alarms while still allowing you to capture nuances and unusual errors.

Backup locations

If the issue lies with the monitoring location itself, we can switch to another backup location in the same city/country/continent – depending on current availability.

Flexible notifications

Use our escalation system to configure who, how, and when should be informed about a detected issue or the resolution of an outage. Notification templates help tailor the content to the type of alert recipient.

Use Cases

Monitoring of online services enables quick detection and, consequently, rapid response to errors. It helps resolve issues before they escalate, minimizing downtime and improving user experience. Properly configured monitoring assists in identifying suspicious activity and potential threats, increasing the security level of applications. Problem

Our customer (one of the largest media portals in Poland) required continuous monitoring of content delivery. Monitoring websites based on CDN can be challenging, especially when only one of the nodes fails (e.g., serving HTTP/404). Full observability was therefore essential.

Our solution

By applying HTTP monitoring from over 30 locations, our client was able to detect errors occurring only on certain CDN nodes, which resulted in content being unavailable to part of the audience. Alerts sent by Monit24 included server response headers identifying the server that generated the faulty response, enabling our client to quickly take corrective action on the indicated node.

Problem

Modern websites are complex systems relying on many components, often provided as services by external vendors. Our client (one of the leading banks in Poland) used CloudFlare for DNS operations. Unfortunately, due to a configuration error, critical zone records “disappeared.”

Our solution

Thanks to monitoring of authoritative DNS servers and verification of key records, Monit24 immediately reported the issue to the client, who was able to fix it before the incorrect entries propagated across DNS cache servers.

Problem

The client was using dynamic routing with BGP. Any errors or changes in advertised paths could cause traffic directed to specific IT infrastructure to pass through an unwanted operator or the wrong router interface, overloading the link and generating additional costs.

Our solution

Monitoring the current routing path allowed detection of both packet loss and unexpected changes in the routing path. With route monitoring, the client was able to immediately identify adverse changes in paths leading to their infrastructure from one of the operators. Thanks to a quick intervention by the network team and contacting the operator, the issue was resolved before it impacted the performance and visibility of online services.

Route analysis in the Monit24 service, performed even every minute around the clock, can verify the current routing path and report problematic changes to the appropriate people. Alerts enable an immediate response before the issue becomes visible on network load/interface utilization charts.
